…that I have changed blog! Please visit krex.se, I have swatches of both OPIs Holland collection and China Glaze eye candy 3D glitters!
<3 nail polish
I hope you haven’t forgotten me, but I understand if you have. After a long long time I finally feel like blogging again. I’ve done some blogging during the year (like, 10 posts maybe, but not about nail polish…), at krex.se, where I will continue to blog. Yes, I will leave nails.krex.se! If you want to follow me you have to go there instead. Almost all my posts there are gone now though, since they were in swedish and I plan to blog in english from now on. I have to warn you, I will not only blog about nail polish, but also make up, clothes, health and other things in my life and stuff I feel is important. Like raw chocolate. I really hope I will see you there!
Spring is in the air and all of a sudden I felt like posting again. But it’ll be a short one with only bottle pics of the OPI Katy Perry collection. Which you all by now seen a million times I guess. But I don’t care! ,*
OPI The One That Got Away & Not Like The Movies
OPI Teenage Dream & Last Friday Night
… to why I haven’t been posting. First of all, I started working at a warehouse, and as you might guess, having anything else but super short nails isn’t an option. Which makes me not that inspired to even wear nail polish, and even less taking photos of it. Second, I am so damn tired. And I think I have a new depression coming, because I have no interest in anything anymore. If this weren’t enough, I have no money to buy new polish. I have barely so I can eat. I’m still losing weight each month because I’m so poor, haha! I’m so tragic.
If you can stand photos of my horribly shaped nubbins, I might try to get some inspiration to do some posts.
Oh, and thank you for all the lovely awards given to me! It made me happy. You guys are so nice.
China Glaze Free Love. I thought this one would be difficult formula/opacity wise, but it was surprisingly nice. This is 3 coats and they went on smoothly. I want the whole retro diva collection! They all seem so glowy.
This week suck, it’s only Tuesday and I have already torn my right index nail off (all the way down to the nail bed, and then some…), got a huge split/peel on my right middle nail, and broke off a piece of the left one as well. Awesome. Not.
First I’d like to thank you all for your foot care tips, I will try them out asap .)
In the middle of August I bought a facial starter set from Spiezia, and I decided to do a short review since some of you were interested. Spiezia makes organic and natural skin care products.
The facial starter set contains a facial cleanser, a gentle face scrub, a toner, a face oil and a more nourishing moisturizer. Everything except the toner is pretty much oils. I guess they are based on the oil cleansing method. The overall conclusion is that I like it. A lot. Everything smells sooo good and it feels nice to be using natural products. Until a few days ago, I never wanted to use anything else again! But, I have really dry skin. During the summer months it is almost normal, when autumn comes though, it starts to get crazy dry. So now my skin needs something with more (extreme) hydrating power.
It took a couple of days for my skin to adjust to all the oils (i.e. it looked very oily) but after that, my skin was soft, radiant, clean and everything nice, and matte! I was totally in love. One thing I really liked was to put the facial cleanser on before showering, the steam from the shower helped to open up the pores so it could do a deep cleansing, and the oil prevented the water to dry my skin out.
I am quite sad to give this up, since I loved it so. I promise you Spiezia, I will come back to you as soon as the weather permits. I would recommend this to everyone that doesn’t have as extremely dry skin as I have. At least try it out, the facial starter set doesn’t cost all too much.
My poor feet are screaming for help. I’ve never given them enough attention, but now I’ve come to the conclusion that it has to stop. Or rather, begin.
Please give me your best tips for feet care! How do you take care of your feet?
(Btw, sorry for the lack of posts, but I forgot my camera at my mom’s. I’m currently wearing OPI Color So Hot It Berns, and I LOVE IT)
Here’s the rest of the collection!
Show It And Glow It!
Bring On The Bling
Simmer & Shimmer
Glow Up Already!
I hope you can imagine how insanely sparkly these are. I used 3 coats on all the swatches.
I think Burlesque is an awesome Christmas collection, a lot of them feels really Christmas-y and makes you think of sparkly decorated Christmas trees. I love it. Although they might not all suit to wear to work, but who cares? One thing I like about these is that they all look fantastic in indoor lightning, which is something I appreciate.
OPI Burlesque collection will be available in Sweden from November (I think) at Kicks and Åhléns, among others. They cost 150 SEK. I think everyone needs at least one of the glitters for the new years eve-party!
I am so happy about these! When the weather get gloomy, I don’t wanna paint my nails in an equally gloomy color. I want something that glows, and cheer me up. These certainly does! And around Christmas they will be totally awesome.
Ali’s Big Break
A red glitter, glass fleck style. It covers in 2 coats, but I added a third for depth. If you look closely, there is pink and gold flecks in it too, but it’s not that prominent on the nail.
A deep and warm gold microglitter. It’s just too sparkly to be a shimmer, specially in indoor lightning! Indoors ju can also see that there is a small amount of green microglitter in it.
Take The Stage
An intense copper microglitter. It doesn’t really suit my skin tone, but I hope you can see past that. I think it will look fantastic on the right person.
The Show Must Go On
This one is interesting. It’s a darker pink, and there is some duochrome action going on. When you look at it directly, at almost looks cool toned. But then, at some angles, the gold microglitter shows up and makes it a warmer color.
Let Me Entertain You
Ooh, I love this one, but I’m a sucker for these fuchsia/magenta colored polishes. This has glass fleck glitter, in the bottle it shows some duochrome, but it isn’t visible on the nail.
Tease-y Does It
A very dusty dark plum with glass fleck glitter. This one also look duochrome-ish in the bottle, but on the nail only copper and pink glitter shows.
I thought all of these had a good formula and were easy to work with. Most only needed 2 coats, but I did 3. I have to say, removal was not so fun. Specially rising star, I had glitter all over my hands! But with a little extra remover and a good hand wash, you get glitter free.
So, what do you think? Do they live up to your expectations?
